Online GED Classes

A simple and easy way of getting your GED diploma.

Learn fast, stay motivated, and pass your GED quickly.

The exam testing offers adults who quit high school prematurely the opportunity to earn an equivalent degree.

From 2014 through 2021, the state used the TASC exam for this purpose, but that program was discontinued. Your TASC scores may still count towards your GED!

Best GED Classes provides free online GED lessons and practice tests to help you discover if an online GED course fits you well.

Some students do better at the GED test if they study at one of the below-listed facilities, while other students perform well if they learn with a good online course.

If online learning fits you well, we suggest you continue studying with Onsego GED Online Prep, an affordable online program that’s awarded the qualification “100% GED Test-Aligned” by the GED publisher, GED Testing Service.

There are four GED® subtests that assess proficiency in

  • Science
  • Language (Reading and Writing combined)
  • Math
  • Social Studies

The GED (General Education Development) exam measures knowledge at a level comparable to that of graduating HS students.

In New York State, the exam is available at certified test centers (not online). To qualify for taking the test online (when that becomes available), candidates need to attain “green” scores (in the likely to pass range) on the GED Ready® practice test available at GED.com.

There are four GED Ready tests, one for each subject field. Use also this website’s free GED practice tests to check your proficiency level.

The GED exam is exclusively available in a computerized format. Paper-based testing is something of the past. That’s not surprising since there are hardly any jobs out there that do not require at least basic keyboarding skills.
