It doesn’t matter when you left school.

The exam gives people who did not graduate high school the opportunity to obtain an equivalent degree.

The GED® test contains four independent modules (subtests) in Social Studies, Math, Science, and Language Arts that you may complete one at a time.

The four GED subtests are only available in a computerized format.

In the past, online testing was not possible. You needed to show up at an official Texas GED test center and sit for the test in person.

But now, we saw the launch of an online GED testing option. Learn more at the bottom of this post.

Introducing the online proctored GED test

In the past, to sit for the GED test, you needed to show up, in person, at one of Texas’ state-designated high school equivalency test centers. Online testing was no option.

Recently, however, that has changed with the introduction of the GED online testing option. If you want to read more about the online proctored GED test, visit ‘Welcoming the online GED test.’
