This post lists all GED prep class locations and testing sites in the Atlantic City region. New Jersey is using the GED exam for its high school equivalency testing program.
Additionally, the New Jersey Department of Education decided to offer the HiSET exam for this purpose. The TASC exam is no longer available.
GED and HiSET testing is available both online and at state-approved New Jersey testing centers. For information about recently introduced online GED® and HiSET® testing options, check the bottom of this page.
The exams are for adults who left high school prematurely and offer them a chance to earn an equivalent diploma.
In New Jersey, both high school equivalency (HSE) exams must be taken in a computer-based format; no more paper-and-pencil testing.

The four GED modules may be taken one at a time; no need to complete the entire GED battery in one testing session.
The HiSET has five subtests (Literacy has separate reading and writing tests) that are modular as well.

The HSEAP (High School Assessment Preparation) program offers instruction in Language Arts (Reading, Writing), Math, Science, and Social Studies. So, students who didn’t complete high school can choose this path to participate in the school’s academic offerings.

Online GED and HiSET Testing Options
Until recently, sitting for the GED or HiSET exam was not possible in an online format, but this has changed. We’ve seen the launch of an online GED testing option, and the HiSET exam has also introduced an online version, the ‘HiSET-Exam-At-Home.’
