The GED test is given at state-approved test centers and in an online format.
Online GED Classes
A simple and easy way of getting your GED diploma.
Learn fast, stay motivated, and pass your GED quickly.
The exam gives adults who couldn’t graduate high school another option for obtaining an equivalent degree.
The test is done at a level similar to what graduating high school seniors must command.
GED® testing occurs via four subtests measuring a student’s knowledge in these fields:
- English Language Arts
- Math
- Social Studies
- Science
These modules (independent sub-exams) can be taken individually and in the order you like.
All across North America, the GED certificate is recognized just like a common high school degree by employers and schools.

Online GED testing was, until recently, not an option. You were required to come to a state-designated test center in person, but now, an online option has been introduced. Read more below.

Introducing Online GED Testing
Until recently, it was not possible to take the GED exam via the Internet. You needed to appear in person at one of Maryland’s state-approved GED test centers when you wanted to secure your GED credential.
Well, that has all changed with the arrival of a new, online, proctored GED testing option. A proctor will be overseeing the entire test-taking process and will make sure that everything you do is in line with the strict regulations.
