This post lists all GED prep class locations and testing sites in the Bethlehem region. Pennsylvania offers two options to earn your high school equivalency diploma: the GED and the HiSET.

Both exams can be taken online and at official testing centers.

The tests offer individuals who could not finish high school the chance to acquire an equivalent degree.

Both exams measure proficiency at a level that compares to that of graduating high school seniors.

The GED® exam is administered exclusively on a computer and has four separate subtests assessing a student’s knowledge of

• Science
• Social Studies
• Math
• English Language Literacy

You don’t need to sit for the GED battery in one take. You can take the subtests separately.

The HiSET® is offered both on paper and on a computer and contains five separate tests as English Language Literacy has separate Writing and Reading sub-exams.

In the past, online HiSET or GED testing was never an option. But that has now changed with the launch of online proctored GED and HiSET tests. Check below for more details.

Northampton Community College provides GED classes at several locations, and these classes are mainly financed through state and federal education grants managed by the school. NCC offers one of Pennsylvania’s most extensive Adult Literacy programs and serves hundreds of adult learners every year. The school districts of Bangor, Pen Argyl, and Nazareth additionally provide funding.

Introducing Online Proctored GED and HiSET Testing

In earlier days, both the GED and HiSET exams had to be taken in person at one of Pennsylvania’s state-designated HSE testing sites. Online testing was never an option, but now, that has changed with the introduction of online testing options for both the HiSET and GED exams.
