Listed here are all GED prep classes and testing facilities in the Boise region. Idaho uses the computer-formatted GED exam for high school equivalency testing.

The four GED modules (independent tests) are given at certified test centers and online.

The exam offers individuals who did not complete high school the opportunity to obtain an equivalent degree.

The GED® exam measures knowledge at a level that compares to what high school students must command upon graduation.

You can prepare for the challenging GED exam at a physical site listed on this page, but if you can study independently, you may also benefit from a good, accredited online program like the comprehensive GED course developed by Onsego GED Prep.

The GED exam includes four separate subtests in the fields of

• Math
• Science
• English Language
• Social Studies

You can take (and pay for) one of the four GED subtests at a time and in your desired order.

In the past, online testing was not possible. Testing had to be done at state-designated test sites. But now, all of that has changed with the arrival of an online proctored GED exam. Read more below.

Life’s Kitchen offers participants who haven’t finished high school access to GED instruction. All lessons are free, and the program also picks up the GED testing tab. Additionally, trainees are stimulated to enroll in higher education, especially culinary arts.

The University’s HEP (High School Equivalency Program) is developed to support farmworkers (and also their family members) in their efforts to acquire a GED diploma (a Migrant Education Program).

BSU’s HEP office is located at 1464 University Drive, Room 115, Phone 208-426-1364. Driving directions: take I-84 to the Broadway exit and go north on Broadway. Follow Broadway for two miles and turn left on University Drive. Continue on University Drive until you see, on your right, Boulder Hall. BSU’s HEP Office is located inside Boulder Hall in room 115.

This program (NOT a GED prep program) offers non-native English-speaking students the chance to enhance their English language skills for academic, professional, or personal success. Online GED Test

In the past, taking the GED exam was only offered at state-designated testing facilities. Taking the GED test online was simply not an option. To earn your GED credential, you needed to report personally to one of Idaho’s official GED test centers.

However, this has changed as an online proctored GED testing option has become available. If you take the online GED test, a proctor guides you through the test-taking process and checks if you do everything in line with the regulations. What is the GED Exam?

The GED (General Education Development) exam offers adult learners who haven’t finished high school the chance to get hold of an educational credential that’s equivalent to a common high school diploma.

There are four individual exams that cover Language Arts, Social Studies, Mathematics, and Science. These four modular tests can be taken one at a time.

The certification that you’ll receive upon completing the Idaho GED test is commonly accepted as the equivalency of a high school diploma all over the nation by government institutions, employers, and colleges.
