Online GED Testing

It used to be taking the four GED subtests via the Internet was no option. Your personal appearance at one of Maryland’s state-approved GED test facilities was required if you wanted to earn your Maryland GED diploma.

Well, that has changed. Taking the GED test is now also possible through an online proctored format. A proctor oversees your test-taking process and checks if you do it all in line with strict regulations. To learn more, go to this page: ‘The Online GED Test.’

GED Price in Maryland

In Maryland, the cost of each GED subtest is $36.00. For first-time test-takers, however, Maryland subsidizes $21.75, both for testing at a test center or online. The voucher code can only be used once for the first attempt of each subtest. Maryland does not subsidize any retests. So, for 1st-time testers, Maryland charges $14.25 for the first attempt.
