Online GED Testing

Sitting for the GED test via the Internet was, until recently, never an option. If you wanted to earn a GED, you were required to appear in person at one of Florida’s state-approved GED testing facilities and pass the four GED subtests.

Now, that has changed with the arrival of a new online, proctored GED exam. An online proctor guides you through the entire test-taking process. Visit ‘Introducing the online GED exam’ for detailed information.

GED Passing Score

The GED exam has four independent subtests (modules) that can, if wished, be taken one at a time. The modules are scored on a scale that runs from 100 to 200. On each module, you are required to reach at least a 145 score, and there is NO averaging. You must attain that score on EACH of the four exams.

  • High School Equivalency Score: 145-164
  • College-Ready Score: 165-174
  • College-Ready PLUS College Credit Score: 175-200
If your score is in the 175-200 range, you will receive up to 10 college credits, depending on the college and the subject.
