This post lists all GED (HiSET in Tennessee) prep facilities and testing sites in the Chattanooga region. The HiSET offers adults without a high school degree the chance to acquire an equivalent diploma.

HiSET testing is available online and at official Tennessee test centers. The HiSET® is offered on paper and on a computer, while the GED® is offered exclusively on a computer.

The HiSET has five modular subtests in the academic subject fields of

• Language Writing
• Literacy Reading
• Science
• Social Studies
• Math

HiSET testing, like with the GED, takes place at a level that compares to that of graduating HS seniors.

There was, until recently, no online HiSET testing option. You had to come to an official HiSET testing site to sit for the exam in person.

This has changed now, however, with the launch of an online proctored HiSET exam. Learn more at the bottom of this page.

Until recently, the HiSET exam, just like the GED test, had to be taken in person at one of Tennessee’s official testing centers.
