This article contains an overview of all GED preparatory classes and testing facilities in the Everett area. The state of Washington is using the computer-based GED test for high school equivalency testing.

The GED exam is available in an online format and at state-certified test centers.

The exam measures knowledge at a level similar to what high school students must command when they graduate.

The GED® test has four separate modules that can be taken one at a time if you wish.

The four tests measure your knowledge in the academic fields of

• Literacy (Reasoning through Language Arts)
• Math (Mathematical Reasoning)
• Science
• Social Studies

In the past, there was no online GED test. Test-takers had to show up in person at one of Washington’s official GED test sites.

The school’s Youth Re-Engagement is a dual-credit program that offers youth in the age group 16-20 who did not finish high school the opportunity to earn a high school diploma and a college degree at no cost. YouthBuild Snohomish County

YouthBuild is a free one-year-long program for low-income or at-risk youth ages 18-24 who are interested in earning a construction certificate and a GED. Applicants are trained on a real construction site, get paid, and can work towards their GED simultaneously.

Welcoming the Online GED Exam

In earlier days, you could never take the GED online. If you wished to acquire your GED degree, you were always required to show up in person at one of Washington State’s official GED test facilities.

But now, this has all changed with the introduction of an online proctored GED testing option. If you take the online GED test, an online proctor will see if you do it all in accordance with the regulations. More information about this development can be found here: Welcoming the online GED test.
