Introducing the Online GED Exam

Sitting for the four GED subtests via the Internet is now a reality for qualifying test-takers. It used to be that test-takers needed to report in person to an official GED testing center to sit for Alabama’s high school equivalency test, but fortunately, that has now changed.

The GED test has become available online as well, using an online proctor who will oversee your test-taking process. For more information, go to this post: online GED testing.

One Test at a Time

You are not required to sit for the entire GED battery in one take. You have the option to take one (or more) of the four modules at a time. Many students take that subtest first, which they think is the easiest for them to build up their confidence.

If you take the GED test at a test center, you’ll get two retakes at a reduced rate. If you take the GED exam online, there are no discounted retakes.
