The GED exam is given at state-approved test centers and online. Florida has, however, suspended the online GED test on 1-10-24. You can read more about online GED testing below.

The exam gives persons who didn’t graduate high school one more chance to secure an equivalent degree.

The GED® has four independent modules that assess an applicant’s proficiency level in these subjects:

• Math
• Science
• Social Studies
• Language

You can write these modules one at a time and in the order you want.

The four GED modules measure your knowledge at a level similar to that of HS graduates.

You can prepare for the GED test by studying online. You can also choose traditional GED Prep classes near you.

Introducing the Online GED Test

To sit for the Florida GED exam, there never was, until recently, an option over the Internet. If you were looking to get your GED, you were required to show up in person at one of Florida’s state-approved GED test centers and pass the four GED modules.

But now, with the introduction of the online, proctored GED exam, that has changed. An online proctor will help you through the GED test-taking process.
