Why the GED Test Matters

GED Testing Service offers the GED® exam, a learner-centric high school equivalency diploma program that’s recognized across the U.S. as equivalent to a common high school credential. GED Testing Service requires test centers to check GED test-takers’ identities in accordance with state regulations.

Millions of North American adults lack a high school diploma, often missing out on the knowledge and skills to succeed in the contemporary marketplace. Bear in mind that you can take the four GED modules one at a time and that your GED scores don’t expire as long as the current format of the GED test is used.

Today, holding a secondary education degree (high school or equivalent diploma) is required for practically all available positions, even at the entry level.

For almost eight decades, the GED program has helped millions of adult learners succeed by giving them the opportunity to earn a credential that’s equivalent to a high school degree and that allows for a college education and a brighter future in general.

The GED program does not merely provide a test. It is an extensive and comprehensive educational program that educates students to meet today’s employers’ and colleges’ tech-savvy expectations.

The GED exam is offered exclusively in a computer-based format and can be taken at one of the thousands of testing facilities across the country or online in a proctored format.
