Posted here are all GED preparatory classes and testing sites in the Green Bay region. Wisconsin uses the GED exam for the state’s high school equivalency testing program.

GED testing is available in an online format and at official Wisconsin testing sites. The exam gives adults who never completed their high school curriculum the opportunity to earn an equivalent degree.

The GED® test includes four separate subtests (or modules) that can be taken (and paid for) one at a time.

The four computer-based subtests are in the subject fields of

• Math
• Science
• Language
• Social Studies

The GED is a challenging exam. Testing is done at a level that compares to that of graduating high school seniors.

It used to be that online GED testing was not an option. You had to come to a designated Wisconsin GED test center to sit for the four GED subtests in person.

That has now changed, however, with the arrival of a new online GED testing option. Learn more below at the bottom of this page.

In Wisconsin, GED test-takers are required to pass a 100-question Civics test as well.

Launching the Online GED Test

In the past, there never had been a way to take the GED exam online. Students looking to get hold of their GED credentials had to come, in person, to one of Wisconsin’s state-recognized GED testing facilities.

Now, this all has come to an end with the introduction of a new option to take the GED exam online. Students who qualify for this option can take the GED test from their homes and will be monitored by an online proctor who oversees if everything goes in accordance with strict regulations.
