This is an overview of all GED prep classes and test centers in the Greenville, Mississippi, region. Mississippi uses two exams for High School Equivalency testing, the HiSET and GED exams.

The exams can be taken online and at certified Mississippi testing facilities.

The HiSET® and GED® assessments offer people who never finished high school the opportunity to obtain an equivalent diploma.

Both tests measure skills at a level that’s also expected of high school seniors upon graduation.

The GED contains four individual subsets in

• Math
• Science
• Social Studies
• Language Arts

These modules can be taken one at a time and in the order you prefer.

The HiSET contains five subtests (Literacy has separate reading and writing tests) that can also be taken separately.

HSE testing over the Internet was, until recently, not possible. Testing had to be done at one of Mississippi’s official testing centers, but that has changed with the introduction of online GED and HiSET test-taking options. Learn more below.

Introducing Online GED and HiSET Testing

It used to be that you could not take the GED HiSET exam via the Internet. Recently, however, things changed. Earlier, your personal appearance at one of Mississippi’s state-approved test locations was required.
