In this post, you can find all GED and HiSET prep facilities and test sites in the Hannibal area. Missouri is using two options for its high school equivalency testing program: the GED and HiSET exams.

You may sit for the exams at one of Missouri’s state-designated testing centers or in an online format. Read more below.

The exams are for adults who have never completed high school. This way, they can earn a degree that’s equivalent to a standard HS diploma.

The HiSET® is available in both a paper-based and a computer-based version, while the GED® test can only be done on a computer.

The GED exam contains four subject tests in the fields of

• English Language
• Math
• Science
• Social Studies

The HiSET exam includes five sub-exams, as the Language section has separate writing and reading subtests.

The subtests of both HSE (High School Equivalency) exams are independent modules that can be written individually and in any wished order.

The exams measure knowledge at a level similar to that of graduating high school students.

HiSET and GED Price Tag

The Missouri HiSET exam costs $17.75 per individual subject ($10.75 for the ETS fee and a $7 administration fee for the test center. Per subject test, test-takers get two retests at only the $7 testing center fee. Additionally, there is an annual $10 state fee to take the HiSET exam in Missouri that is collected once a year. The Missouri HiSET At Home Exam fee is $151.25 for the entire battery of five subtests.

The GED price is $142 at a testing center (including the annual $10 state fee) and $156 when taken in an online format, but you’ll also have to count the cost of four GED Ready tests ($28).
