Online GED Classes

A simple and easy way of getting your GED diploma.

Learn fast, stay motivated, and pass your GED quickly.

The HiSET® has five subtests that assess a student’s knowledge of these subjects:

  • Language Writing
  • Language Reading
  • Mathematics
  • Social Studies
  • Science

The GED® exam comes with four subtests since the writing and reading portions have been melted into one Language Arts sub-exam.

Testing occurs at a level that’s comparable to what high school students must command upon graduation.

The HiSET is available in both a computerized and a paper-and-pencil format, while the GED test is only available in a fully computerized format. All GED and HiSET modules may be taken separately and in the order you wish.

In the past, taking the HiSET or GED test online was no option. But the arrival of the HiSET-Exam-At-Home and OP (Online Proctored) GED online testing options has changed that. Read more below.

How to prepare for the GED or HiSET fast

The Online HiSET and GED Tests

Until recently, the HiSET and GED exams were never offered online. To acquire your Louisiana HSE (high school equivalency) credential, your personal appearance at one of Louisiana’s state-approved HSE testing centers was required. However, the introduction of both online HiSET and GED test-taking options has changed all of that.

The online HiSET exam is called the HiSET-At-Home Exam and the GED online test is called the OP (Online Proctored) GED exam.

So now, you may also sit for the four GED or five HiSET subtests from the comfort of your home via an online testing format. A proctor will check if you do everything in accordance with the regulations. Visit ‘Online HiSET test-taking option’ to read more and for more information about the Online Proctored GED Test, <- check here.

HiSET Scoring

Successful applicants must earn eight points or more (out of 20) on each of the five tests and must score at least 45 points in total. They also are required to get no less than two (out of a possible six) points in the essay section. Each of the five tests has 40 to 50 questions in multiple-choice format, and the writing section includes an essay-style assignment as well.

GED Scoring

On each GED module, you must at least reach a 145 score to pass. Your results are calibrated on a 100-200 scoring scale.

  • 145-164: high school equivalent results
  • 165-174: college-ready results
  • 175-200: college-ready + credit results

Your Future

In today’s job market, people who have left high school without a diploma are finding it hard to get any type of work. People who never finished high school face a heavy burden just to make ends meet.

For older adults without a high school diploma, going back to high school is not an option, and the GED or HiSET program is one of their best options.
