This post lists all GED (in Tennessee: HiSET) prep sites and test centers in the Jackson area. Tennessee uses the HiSET for its high school equivalency testing program.

HiSET testing is available online and at certified Tennessee test centers.

The test gives individuals who didn’t complete high school one more chance to earn an equivalent degree.

The HiSET® assesses knowledge at a level similar to that of HS students upon graduation.

There are five HiSET tests that assess knowledge in the academic areas of

• English Language Writing
• English Language Reading
• Social Studies
• Science
• Math

You have the option to take the five HiSET subject tests separately.

In earlier days, online HiSET testing was not possible. You had to show up at an official Tennessee testing center in person.

Now, however, that has changed with the introduction of an online proctored HiSET testing option. To learn more, check the bottom of this page.

Online HiSET Test

Until recently, there never had been an option to take the HiSET exam over the Internet. You were required to report to an official Tennessee HiSET testing center in person.
