This article lists all GED (HiSET in Tennessee) prep classes and testing sites in the Knoxville region. Tennessee is using the HiSET for its high school equivalency testing program.

The HiSET exam is available online and at certified Tennessee HiSET testing centers.

The HiSET® exam, like the GED®, assesses basic knowledge at a level similar to what high school students must command upon graduation.

There are students who perform better when supervised by an instructor at a physical facility (see the list below), while others perform well when they use an online HiSET or GED course. This website offers free practice tests and free GED online classes to help you decide if online learning is a good fit for you.

If so, we advise you to move ahead with Onsego GED Prep, an engaging, accredited online GED course. Since the GED and HiSET contents are similar, you can use this GED prep course very well when preparing for the HiSET exam.

The HiSET exam includes five tests in the academic fields of

• Language Arts Reading
• Language Arts Writing
• Social Studies
• Mathematics
• Science

The HiSET is available in both paper and computer-based versions.

In earlier days, there was never an option to take the HiSET exam online. Testing was possible only at official Tennessee HiSET testing centers.

In the past, there never had been an option to sit for the HiSET exam in an online format. You had to report, in person, to a state-recognized official Tennessee HiSET test center.
