Additionally, the state welcomed the HiSET exam for this purpose.

It doesn’t matter when you left school.

Both options can be taken online and at certified test facilities.

The exams give adults who don’t have a high school diploma the chance to earn an equivalent credential.

The GED® test includes four separate subtests (modules) in Literacy, Science, Math, and Social Studies that you may complete separately.

The HiSET® includes individual language reading and language writing tests, so five overall, that can be taken separately as well.

In the past, HiSET or GED testing over the internet was never possible. You had to come to a state-approved New Mexico test center and sit for the tests in person.

We recommend the Online GED Program
from Onsego.

It’s Simple, Fast & Easy.

Recently, though, there have been some interesting developments with the launch of GED and HiSET online proctored exams. Read more below.

New online GED and HiSET testing options

Sitting for the HiSET and GED tests over the internet was, until recently, not possible. HSE testing was simply not offered online. But now, we’ve seen some interesting new developments with the introduction of online HiSET and GED testing. So all of that has now changed.

You must have a reliable internet connection, and an online proctor will see if everything is done in line with some pretty strict regulations. To learn more about the online HiSET-At-Home exam, visit ‘Online HiSET testing introduced,’ and to learn all about the newly launched GED online test, check out ‘Introducing online GED testing.’
