GED Classes Louisville, Kentucky

Last Updated on February 19, 2024.

Posted here are all GED class sites and testing centers in the Louisville region. Kentucky uses the GED exam for the state’s high school equivalency testing program.

The GED® exam is given at state-approved test centers and online.

The exam is for adults who never completed their high school education and offers them the chance to earn an equivalent degree.

You can prepare under the supervision of an instructor at one of the locations listed in this post. You can also use a good, accredited GED prep course to get optimally prepared.

This website’s free lessons practice tests will let you discover if an online learning program fits your learning style. If that’s the case, we suggest you go ahead with Onsego GED Online Prep, an accredited, affordable program that GED Testing Service recognizes as “100% GED Test Aligned.”

The GED (General Education Development) exam consists of four separate subtests in the fields of

It doesn’t matter when you left school

  • Language Arts
  • Math
  • Science
  • Social Studies

You can take these subtests one (or more) at a time. There’s no requirement to complete the entire GED battery in one take.

Across America, schools, government agencies, and employers accept the GED diploma in lieu of a high school degree.

Students who take the four GED subtests for the first time can do that at no cost through the KY Skills U program.

In the past, online GED testing was not possible. You needed to come to a state-approved GED testing center in person, but the arrival of a new online GED test has changed all that. Read more below.
