GED Classes Manassas, Virginia

This article lists all GED prep sites and testing centers in the Manassas area. In Virginia, you’ll need to pass the four subtests of the GED exam to earn your high school equivalency degree.

You can sit for the GED exam in an online format and at certified Virginia GED test centers.

The exam is for adults who left high school without graduating and gives them one more chance to earn an equivalent credential.

The GED® exam is made up of four individual subtests (modules) that measure proficiency in the academic areas of

  • Mathematics
  • Social Studies
  • English Language
  • Science

You have the option to take one (or more) of the four GED subtests at a time.

The GED test assesses skills and knowledge at a level that’s similar to what high school seniors are expected to command upon graduation.

There was, until recently, no way you could take the GED exam online. You needed to appear personally at an official testing site.

Online GED Testing Introduced

Well, this has changed with the introduction of the online proctored GED test. If you qualify to take the GED online, you can do so from your home, where an online proctor oversees your testing activities and monitors if you do it all in accordance with the regulations.
