If you are good at writing essays and you can score a max number of points, you need to answer correctly 32 questions. But if you are NOT, and your essay will get 0 points, you need to answer 42 questions correctly.

Reading comprehension is important in this test. You’ll get the most mileage out of learning to read the passages more effectively.

Once you learn to read for the big picture, you’ll be in a better position to answer most of the questions you’ll be asked about a passage.

Grammar

  • Pronouns
  • Idioms
  • Punctuations
  • Verb Tenses

So hopefully, you’ll now understand see how many questions you need to answer correctly to pass the GED RLA test.

Time Management

Our most basic fundamental time management strategy is called the 3/5 split, and this is designed to put the emphasis on the right place, on the questions where students actually will get points.

Students have never scored a single point on the GED test for reading a passage.

You have to, of course, answer the questions.

This pacing guideline emphasizes that you need to spend eight minutes per passage.

Three minutes for reading the text or skimming the text and five minutes for answering questions. It is a very simple pacing guideline, but it’s very effective.
