Posted here are all GED prep locations and testing facilities in the Midland region. Texas uses the entirely computer-based GED exam for High School Equivalency testing.

The GED exam is given at state-certified testing centers and in an online format.

The assessment gives students who quit high school without a diploma the opportunity to obtain an equivalent degree.

The GED® exam has four separate sub-exams measuring academic proficiency in

• Language Arts
• Social Studies
• Math
• Science

You don’t have to complete these modules in one take.

It used to be that, to earn your Texas GED credential, you had to come, in person, to one of the state’s official testing centers. There was no online option.

Well, this has changed with the introduction of the online proctored GED test. Learn more at the bottom of this page.

Introducing Online GED Testing

Until recently, GED testing was never possible over the Internet. The tests had to be dealt with in person at one of Texas’ state-recognized high school equivalency (HSE) test centers. Online HSE testing simply was never available. Recently, however, that changed with the launch of an online proctored GED testing option.
