It doesn’t matter when you left school.

The HiSET® exam, like the GED®, gives people who quit high school prematurely the opportunity to earn a credential that’s across America accepted in lieu of a standard high school degree.

The HiSET assesses knowledge at the level that compares to what high school students must command upon graduation.

The exam comes with five tests in these subject fields: writing, reading, social studies, math, and science.

HiSET testing can be done both on paper and on a computer.

In the past, there was never an online HiSET testing option. To earn your high school equivalency diploma, you were required to show up at a state-designated testing center and take the exam in person.

Recently, however, we witnessed the launch of a new online HiSET test-taking option, the ‘HiSET-At-Home’ exam. Learn more below.

When taking the HiSET exam online, a proctor guides you through the online test-taking process and checks if everything happens in line with the rules and regulations. If you want to learn more about this interesting development, check out this post: The online HiSET test.
