This post contains a listing of all GED class locations and testing sites in the Orlando region. Florida uses the entirely computer-formatted GED exam for the state’s High School Equivalency testing program.

You can sit for the GED exam at state-certified test centers or online. However, on January 10, 2024, the online version of the GED exam was suspended in Florida. To learn more about online GED® testing, check below.

The GED program is for adults who never finished high school, and it gives them the opportunity to earn an equivalent degree.

The GED measures skills and knowledge at a level that compares to that of graduating HS seniors.

To get all set for the computer-based GED exam, you can attend a class at a facility listed below or register for an accredited online prep course like the online program developed by Onsego GED Prep.

Our website publishes over 100 free online GED classes and practice tests based on Onsego’s course. GED Testing Service described Onsego’s GED course as “fully in line with the current GED test.”

The GED test includes four independent GED modules measuring a test-taker’s skills and academic proficiency in these subject areas:

• Social Studies, including Economics, History, Geography
• Reasoning through Language Arts
• Science, including Chemistry, Physics, Government
• Mathematical Reasoning

You can prepare for and take one (or more) of the four GED modules at a time.

Online Proctored GED Test

There had never been an online option to take the GED test. That is, until recently! If you wanted to earn a GED, you had to show up personally at an official Florida GED testing center and pass the four GED subtests.

Now, with the arrival of a new, online, proctored GED testing option, that has all changed. An online GED testing proctor will guide you through the entire test-taking process.
