Listed in this article are all GED prep facilities and test centers in the Pontiac region. Michigan uses two options for high school equivalency testing, the GED and HiSET exams.
HiSET and GED testing can be done online or at state-approved Michigan test centers. For more information about online testing, check below.
The exams offer adults who did not graduate from high school the possibility to acquire an equivalent degree.
Applicants are tested at a level similar to what may be expected of high school graduates.
The GED® is computer-based and has four independent subtests in
- English Language Literacy
- Science
- Social Studies
- Math
You may take one GED subtest at a time. There’s no need to complete everything in one session.

HiSET® testing takes place through five subtests that can also be dealt with separately.
The HiSET exam comes with five subtests, as the section “Language Literacy” has individual writing and reading tests.

Until just recently, taking the HiSET and GED exams online was not possible. Now, however, this has changed as both the HiSET and the GED exams are also offered in an online proctored version.
