The GED exam offers adults who didn’t graduate high school the chance to obtain an equivalent degree.

The GED® (General Education Development) exam includes four subtests in

• Science
• Language Arts (Reading and Writing combined)

You have the option to take the four GED subtests one at a time. There’s no requirement to take it all in one session.

From 2014 through 2021, New York State used the TASC exam for its high school equivalency testing program, but that was discontinued. Earlier TASC passing scores also count toward your GED!
