The GED exam is available online and at state-approved, official GED test centers. The assessment gives adults who never graduated high school the chance to get hold of an equivalent degree.

The GED® test includes four independent modules (subtests) in

• English Language Literacy
• Math
• Science
• Social Studies

You can take one (or more) of the GED subtests at a time. There’s no need to take the entire battery all at once.

The GED is completely computerized and was, until recently, unavailable online. This has changed now, however, with the launch of the online proctored GED exam. Learn more at the bottom of this post.

In Wisconsin, GED applicants must also pass the state’s Civics test, a 100-question exam. All across America, schools and employers accept the GED credential just like a conventional HS degree.

Introducing the Online GED Test

In the past, online GED testing was never an option. If you were looking to get hold of your Wisconsin GED diploma, you had to come personally to an official, state-recognized testing facility.
