Online GED Classes

A simple and easy way of getting your GED diploma.

Learn fast, stay motivated, and pass your GED quickly.

The GED test is available at official Maryland GED testing facilities and in an online format.

The exam gives adults who did not graduate high school the chance to earn an equivalent degree so they will have better job options and the chance to go to college.

GED® testing is done via four independent subtests in

  • Science
  • English Language
  • Social Studies
  • Math

The GED is quite challenging. Testing occurs at a level that’s similar to what may be expected of graduating HS students.

There’s no need to take all four GED subtests at the same time. You have the option to sit for one (or more) GED subtests at a time.

GED Maryland Practice Test

Online GED Testing Introduced

Until recently, to sit for the four GED modules, there was never an option over the Internet. If you wanted to secure your Maryland GED diploma, you had to show up personally at one of Maryland’s official GED testing sites.

Fortunately, that changed now as a new, online, proctored GED testing option was introduced. You must have a good Internet connection, and then a proctor will oversee your activities and check if you do everything in accordance with the rules. Go to this article, ‘The online proctored GED test,’ if you want more information.

GED Price in Maryland

In Maryland, the GED subtests are $14.25, so the full exam will set you back $57, but this only applies to 1st-time test-takers. For all others, the cost is $36 per sub-exam, so $144 for the entire battery. You can take and pay for one of the four GED modules at a time.

So, for first-time testers, Maryland subsidizes $21.75 for the first attempt on each GED subtest taken online or at a test center. Maryland is not subsidizing retests. You need to apply the code MDGED2175 when paying for the first attempt and benefit from the $14.25 offer. To register for your GED exam, you must set up an account with GED.com.
