Online GED Classes

A simple and easy way of getting your GED diploma.

Learn fast, stay motivated, and pass your GED quickly.

The state additionally welcomed the HiSET exam for that purpose. Both the HiSET® and GED® can be taken online or at an official California HSE test facility. You can learn more about online testing below.

The exams assess competencies and proficiency at a level that may be expected of graduating HS students.

The GED is fully computer-based, whereas the HiSET is offered in both paper- and computer-based versions.

The GED test comes with four individual modules (independent subtests) measuring a student’s knowledge of

  • Science
  • Social Studies
  • Math
  • Language Arts

These four sub-exams may be taken separately and in any preferred order.

Online Proctored HiSET and GED Testing

The GED and HiSET exams can now be taken online as well. It used to be that online GED and HiSET testing over the Internet was not possible and that test-takers were required to come to a state-recognized test center in person.

Well, that has now completely changed with the arrival of online proctored GED and HiSET test-taking options. For more information about taking the GED exam online, check out The online GED exam, and for more HiSET information, go to The online HiSET test.

The GED Exam – For Who is it?

The GED and HiSET tests are intended for adults who never finished high school, and the diploma or certificate that you are going to receive when you complete the HiSET or GED test successfully is recognized as equivalent to a high school diploma by state and federal institutions, employers, and universities and colleges throughout the nation.

The GED (General Education Development) and HiSET (High School Equivalency Test) assess if you can be successful in college and university and/or if you will succeed on the work floor.

The HSE program is geared towards persons who don’t hold a high school diploma and gives them a chance to earn an equivalent degree. The GED credential will definitely lead to better employment, and it opens the door toward a college education.
