It doesn’t matter when you left school.

The GED® exam provides adults who never completed high school with the chance to earn an equivalent degree.

The GED test comes with four individual subtests (modules) in Literacy, Social Studies, Science, and Math.

You can register and pay for one of the four GED modules at a time. You don’t have to take all four tests in one session.

Testing (fully computerized) happens at a level comparable to that of graduating HS seniors.

Until recently, online GED testing had never been available, but the arrival of a new online GED testing option has changed all of that. Learn more below.

But recently, that has with the arrival of a new online GED testing option. You must have a good internet connection, and an online proctor oversees your test-taking activities and checks if you do it all in accordance with the rules. Visit this page, ‘The Online GED Test Introduced,’ to learn more.

Maryland GED Practice Test

Your future

The four GED subtests are in Social Studies (70 minutes), Science (90 minutes), Mathematical Reasoning (115 minutes), and Reasoning through Language Arts (150 minutes). The passing score for each subject test is 145. You can sit for the entire GED battery (four modules) if you wish for $45 or take one module at a time for $11.25 each.

The GED exam is a computer-based test and the GED degree is recognized across North America and accepted by practically all colleges, employers, and military services. The GED diploma is equivalent to a Maryland high school diploma.

The GED consists of four subtests that measure academic skills and knowledge that are commonly learned during four years of high school.
