Online GED Classes

A simple and easy way of getting your GED diploma.

Learn fast, stay motivated, and pass your GED quickly.

The assessment is for persons who don’t hold a high school diploma and offers them the chance to earn an equivalent degree.

The GED® (General Education Development) exam includes four separate modules (subtests) in

  • Social Studies
  • Math
  • English Language
  • Science

The GED test assesses knowledge and skills at a level that’s similar to what HS students must know upon graduation.

You have the option to complete one GED subtest at a time; no need to take it all at once.

First-time Kentucky GED testers can sit for the four GED subtests at no cost through the state’s Skills U program.

Until recently, there was no GED testing option over the Internet. You were required to come to one of Kentucky’s state-approved test centers.

Now, the arrival of an online proctored GED testing option has changed all of that. Read more below.

Online GED Testing Introduced

The GED exam could, until recently, not be taken via the Internet. To get hold of a Kentucky GED diploma, you had to appear in person at a state-approved Kentucky GED test facility. Now, things have changed as a new online proctored option to take the GED test at home was introduced.

Today, you can take the four GED subtests from your home. A reliable Internet connection is required, as well as a video option to allow an online proctor to see if your test-taking process is in accordance with some pretty strict regulations. To learn more, visit ‘The Online Proctored GED Test.’

The regular cost per GED module is $36 ($144 for the whole set of four tests). The state offers vouchers of up to $80 value to qualifying candidates thanks to a Workforce Investment Act grant, but this offer is available only for a limited time.

When you sign up for the portal MyGED, you will be guided toward the special offer. GED Testing Service developed the new version of the GED program and is a joint venture of the American Council on Education (ACE) and the leading assessment developer Pearson.
