Introducing Online GED Testing

To sit for the GED test, there had never been an option over the Internet. That is, until recently! If you wanted to earn your Florida high school equivalency diploma, you were required to appear at one of the state’s designated testing facilities and pass the four GED subtests.

Now, that is changing as a new online proctored GED testing option is introduced. To learn more about this development, visit this article: ‘The online proctored GED exam.’

Online Learning

Online learning has become very popular and for good reasons. In our contemporary, fast-paced society, it’s very practical since you can learn when and where suits you best. Keep in mind, however, that online learning requires a decent portion of self-discipline.

The fact of the matter is that in today’s economy, holding at least a high school or GED degree is actually invaluable. To secure a decently-paying job, you need your high school or GED diploma. To save time and money, taking an online class just makes sense.

GED Passing Score

Your GED results are calibrated on a scale running from 100 to 200. The passing score on each of the four independent GED modules is 145. There is NO averaging, so you’ll need to attain this score on each of the four tests. There are four GED scoring ranges:

  • Below passing scores: 100-144
  • High school equivalent scores: 145-164
  • College-ready scores: 165-174
  • College-ready + credits scores: 175-200
