You can opt to sit for the four GED subtests one at a time. There’s no need to take it all in one session.

Welcoming the Online GED Test

Until recently, you never had the choice to take the GED exam in an online format. If you wanted to secure your Virginia GED degree, you were always required to present yourself at an official, state-approved Virginia GED testing site.

But now, we’ve seen the launch of online GED testing. Students who qualify are allowed to sit for the four GED modules from the comfort of their homes. An online proctor monitors if the testing activities are in accordance with some strict rules and regulations. To learn more, go to ‘The online GED test.’

Your Future

The certificate that is rewarded after successfully passing the Virginia GED exam is generally accepted as equivalent to a high school diploma by state and federal authorities, employers, and universities throughout the nation. The four GED tests examine elementary capabilities and knowledge that students learn in high school.

The GED exam is computer-formatted, and you will be given about 7.5 hours to complete everything, but don’t worry about the time. You have the freedom to prepare for and take the four subject area tests one by one. When you think you are well prepared, just take that one test, and when you’ve passed that part, move on to the next section.

The passing score for each of the modules is 145 on a 100-200 scale. If you are thinking about earning your GED credential, check out everything at GED.com. You need to register at MyGED, where you can set up your account for everything related to the GED exam.
