The GED exam is given both at state-approved testing facilities and in an online format. The test gives adults who couldn’t graduate high school one more option to acquire an equivalent degree.

The Texas GED® test measures fundamental expertise and knowledge at a level that compares to that of graduating HS students.

The assessment is fully computer-based and can be taken in English or Spanish.

The GED counts four separate modules that can be completed one at a time, covering the fields of

• Social Studies

Introducing the Online Proctored GED Test

In the past, to take the HSE (high school equivalency) exam, you were always required to come to an official Texas testing site and sit for the test in person. There was no online GED testing option. However, this has recently changed with the introduction of the online proctored GED exam.
