It doesn’t matter when you left school.

The exam gives persons who never graduated high school the opportunity to obtain an equivalent degree.

GED® testing is done at a level that compares to that of high school students upon graduation.

The GED exam contains four independent subtests in these subject areas: math, science, literacy, and social studies.

You can sit for one of the computer-based GED subtests at a time if you wish.

In the past, online GED testing was never possible. Testing could only be done at official GED testing sites.

Introducing the online proctored GED test

In earlier days, there was never an option to sit for the four GED modules via the internet. If you wanted to secure your GED degree in Washington State, you always had to show up, in person, at a state-recognized, official GED testing site.

Now, this has changed, though, with the arrival of an online GED test-taking option. Students that qualify for online GED testing and decide to do so will see an online proctor who’ll be monitoring their testing activities and who will check if all goes in line with strict rules. To learn more, you can visit this page: Introducing the online GED test.
