Listed in this article is a complete overview of GED prep locations and test centers in the Warwick area. Rhode Island is using the fully computerized GED exam for the state’s high school equivalency testing program.
GED testing is possible online and at a certified Rhode Island GED test center.
The GED® provides people who left high school before graduation another chance to secure an equivalent degree.
The GED test includes four separate subject tests in Literacy (Reasoning through Language Arts), Math (Mathematical Reasoning), Science, and Social Studies.
You have the option to take one GED module at a time. Completion of the entire GED battery in one take is not required.
The four GED subtests measure knowledge and skills at a level that compares to that of graduating high school seniors.
The GED exam is now also offered in an online version. More information can be found below at the bottom of this page.

Introducing an online proctored GED test
In earlier days, taking the GED test online was not possible. To earn your GED diploma, you were required to show up, in person, at one of Rhode Island’s state-approved, official GED testing centers.
Well, that has finally come to an end as we witnessed the introduction of a new way to sit for the exam, the online proctored (O.P.) GED test. To learn more about this great new development, visit this article: ‘Launching the online GED test.’

When you have passed all four GED subtests, you will receive the GED diploma, a nationwide recognized equivalency to a common high school diploma which is accepted by practically all employers and schools.
In Rhode Island, the GED test costs (for the entire exam) $120, or $30 per individual subtest. The state passed a bill, though, that picks up the tab for low-income residents.
Go to GED.com to discover a great program that comes with everything you want to know about the GED program. You can create your own account at MyGED, and this online portal will lead you through all the phases of the GED testing process.
The GED passing score is 145 on each of the four GED subtests or modules, so a minimum of 580 points in total is required. The scale on which the GED tests are scored runs from 100 to 200.
The below-passing score is 100-144, the passing score at high school equivalency level is 145-164, the college-ready score is 165-174, and the college-ready plus credit score is 175-200.
