GED Classes West Plains, Missouri

This post includes a full listing of HiSET and GED prep locations and test centers in the West Plains area. Missouri is using both the GED and the HiSET exams for the state’s high school equivalency (HSE) testing program.

In the past, taking the GED® or HiSET® tests in an online format was no option. Your personal appearance at one of Missouri’s test centers was required.

Online GED Classes

A simple and easy way of getting your GED diploma.

Learn fast, stay motivated, and pass your GED quickly.

Recently, however, we’ve witnessed the launch of the ‘Online Proctored (O.P.) GED Test’ and the ‘HiSET-At-Home’ testing options. More information can be found at the bottom of this post.

The exams are for adults who could not finish high school and offer them the opportunity to acquire an equivalent degree.

The GED test contains four independent subtests covering the academic subject fields of

  • English Language Arts
  • Social Studies
  • Science
  • Math

HiSET testing occurs through five separate sub-exams, as the Language portion comes with separate writing and reading tests.

HiSET testing can be done computer-based or in a paper-and-pencil format, while the GED test must be taken on a computer. All GED and HiSET subtests may be dealt with separately and in any order.

All over North America, schools, employers, and government organizations accept the diploma that’s awarded after successfully taking the HiSET or GED exam, just like a conventional HS degree.

A Brighter Future

The HiSET (High School Equivalency Test) and GED (General Education Development) exams are geared towards adults without a high school diploma. The exams offer them another chance to get hold of a diploma that is equivalent to a regular high school diploma.

People who hold a secondary education degree (high school diploma or GED) will, on average, make at least $9,600 more annually than people who do not have a secondary credential.

The GED exam is only offered on a computer, while the HiSET exam can be taken on a computer or on paper. Your HSE (high school equivalency) diploma will bring improved employment options and is also your ticket to further education at a university or college.
