It doesn’t matter when you left school.

The exam gives people who didn’t graduate from high school one more chance to acquire an equivalent degree.

Testing occurs at a level that is comparable to that of graduating HS seniors.

The GED® test includes four individual modules (subtests) that cover literacy, math, science, and social studies.

You are given the option to sit for one (or more) of the GED modules at a time.

Online GED testing was, until recently, never possible. Personal appearance at a state-designated testing site was required.

Online GED testing option

In the past, taking the GED test online was not an option. To secure your GED credential, you needed to appear, in person, at a state-approved GED testing facility.

Fortunately, now that had all changed! GED testing has now also become available over the internet. An online proctor guides you then through the online test-taking process and sees whether everything is done in line with the regulations. Learn more in this post: ‘The Online GED Test.’
