The four GED® subtests are in Science, Math, Social Studies, and Literacy.

The exam assesses fundamental knowledge at a level that compares that of high school grads.

The four subtests may be taken individually. There’s no requirement to sit for the GED battery in one take.

Launching an online proctored GED testing option

In earlier days, you didn’t have the choice to take the GED test via the internet. Students looking to earn their Virginia GED diploma always needed to present themselves at one of Virginia’s state-approved GED testing facilities.

But this has come to an end as we recently saw the launch of a new online GED test-taking option. Qualifying students can now take the four GED subtests online from the comfort of their homes.

An online proctor oversees their activities and checks if all is done in accordance with the rules. To read more about this new and interesting development, go to ‘The online proctored GED test.’
