Wisconsin GED Cost

The Wisconsin GED testing fee is $159 for all four subject tests (or $39,75 per module) if you sit for the exam at one of Wisconsin’s state-approved testing facilities. The Online Proctored (OP) GED test also costs $39.75 per individual subtest, so $159 in total.

To qualify for the online GED test, you must first attain passing scores on the GED Ready practice test, available on the website GED.com for $6.99. What’s on the GED Test?

The GED exam is made up of four separate and independent sub-exams that can be taken one (or more) at a time and in any preferred order.

The four GED modules assess knowledge and skills in the academic subject fields of Language (Reasoning through Language Arts, writing and reading combined), Science (including Chemistry and Physics), Social Studies, and Math (Mathematical Reasoning).

The four testing areas of the GED exam are timed tests. You are given the following time restraints:

• For Language Arts: 2 hours and 35 minutes
• For Math: 1 hour and 55 minutes
• For Science: 1 hour and 30 minutes
• For Social Studies: 1 hour and 10 minutes

GED Scoring

Scoring takes place on a 100-200 measuring scale and goes as follows:

• Below passing: 100 – 144
• High school equivalency: 145 – 164
• College-ready: 165 – 174
• College-ready plus up to 10 college credits: 175 – 200

Introducing the Online GED Exam

So, GED testing is now also possible over the Internet. In the past, students who wanted to acquire a GED diploma needed to show up at an official Wisconsin GED test facility and sit for the exam in person, but those days are gone.

GED Retests
