GED Classes Woodward, Oklahoma

On this page, you can discover all GED prep locations and testing sites in the Woodward region. Oklahoma uses the GED for High School Equivalency testing and also welcomed the HiSET exam for this purpose.

Both the GED exams can be taken online or at one of Oklahoma’s state-recognized test centers.

It doesn’t matter when you left school.

The assessments offer persons without a high school diploma the opportunity to earn an equivalent degree.

The GED® is fully computer-based, while the HiSET® comes in both paper-based and computerized formats.

Both tests measure knowledge at a level that is similar to what graduating high school students are expected to command.

The GED exam has four independent modules (subtests) that may be dealt with separately.

The four GED modules are in the fields of Literacy, Social Studies, Math, and Science.

We recommend the Online GED Program
from Onsego.

It’s Simple, Fast & Easy.

The HiSET exam contains five tests (individual writing and reading tests) that can be taken separately as well.

In the past, dealing with both exams over the internet was never an option. But now, with the launch of online GED and HiSET test options, that has changed. For more information, check the bottom of this post.

Oklahoma GED Practice Tests

Introducing online GED or HiSET testing

Students that wanted to earn their HSE (high school equivalency) credentials were required to appear, in person, at one of Oklahoma’s official HSE testing sites. Online HSE testing just didn’t exist.

Now, however, we saw the introduction of online proctored HiSET and GED testing options as well, so all of that has now changed in most U.S. states.

If you want to read more about the new online HiSET exam, go to ‘Launching the online HiSET test,’ and for information about the online new GED testing option, check out: ‘Introducing the online GED exam.’

Application criteria

Applicants in Oklahoma who are 16 and 17 are required to present a release form that can be obtained from the Oklahoma State website. This release form needs to be completed by the applicant, a parent or guardian, and the high school the applicant last attended. Don’t forget to bring a valid photo ID on test day.

For proper preparation check out the classes listed above, or if you are well-disciplined and don’t have time, or don’t feel comfortable in a classroom setting, sign up for an online GED prep course. If you feel better studying at home, you can also obtain study materials and sample questions from the GED website, local bookstores, your local library, or order books online.

The GED passing score is 145 points on a 100 – 200 scale. Oklahoma also introduced an alternative high school equivalency test, the HiSET. This test is offered on paper and on a computer, whereas the GED is only available on a computer. The HiSET test is slightly cheaper as well and comes with a different scoring system.
